Dear Mr Kametas, thank you so much for helping me stay well during my pregnancy and giving me a healthy baby boy. What a relief! I can’t thank you enough for the care you have given. I had every confidence in your skill and professionalism and I am very grateful.
Thank you for the care and interest you took in me and my baby. It is not something I have experienced anywhere else during my two pregnancies at King’s and it was just what I wanted.
I felt both my newborn and I very well looked after, not only from the consultant side, also from all the midwifes that took care of us.
I had approx. 6 assigned midwives during my 3 days and 3 nights of postnatal care. They were generally understanding and compassionate and were very helpful with my baby.
Having 1:1 midwife care was excellent. Dr Bhatti attended in the afternoon and the day after the operation to check me over, and was contactable by text message if needed.
I took comfort from knowing the King’s College medical facilities were always available to me and my baby as needed, all under one roof if an emergency arose.
Would highly recommend the 24hr access to a Dedicated midwife ( especially post C-Section) and option to have partner stay 24hours in private room -compared to the overstretched midwife support and lack of privacy, confidentiality or overnight partner/relative support in the main ward. Continued care from the same Doctor from birth to discharge helped in managing all my postnatal complications.
